Booligal Sheep Races, Topar Gymkhana

Hello everyone,

Well what a great weekend! Actually, on our pad it was, and I hope all other venues were the same. We had big numbers go through our Driver Reviver here in town heaps of really nice people. Warrawong Caravan Park was packed each night, and I hope Sunset Strip, Hay, Nyngan, Bourke, etc. etc. all were a great success. The weather was certainly in our favour.

A short week this week,  you will really have to be quick to join in the Tag-along Tour leaving National Parks Visitor Centre at 9 AM!! But don’t worry, there will be another on Thursday same time, and each Tuesday and Thursday for the holidays.

2 Big events coming up this weekend:

Booligal Sheep Races, on every year, great event and loads of fun at Booligal. Next Saturday, all day.

Topar Gymkhana, next Saturday and Sunday, heaps of events, check out the programme attached.

If you are in Broken Hill, then go along to the Community Markets over there also on the 11th. (Saturday)

Hope you can make one or more of these. Just found out that the Ivanhoe Camp Draft is slotted in for 24th-25th. May, keep that in mind. And by the way there are self contained units at the Pub in Ivanhoe now, handy for the Camp Draft.

Down in the “inside country” don’t forget the “Can Assist” breakfast at the Nyngan RSL Club next Sunday, and the Blue Heelers Film Festival in the Hunter Valley,  12th. to 15th.

Have more for you next week, till then take care on the roads, the dirt roads are getting a bit rough and dusty, be careful.

Cheers  Bill Elliott  WCTA.

“Aunty Acid”. Instead of a sign that says ‘do not disturb’, I need one that says ‘already disturbed, proceed with caution’.
