Hello Everyone,

Those thunderstorms were a surprise! 60 to 80 points down the Cobb highway here and there. Take care if you are travelling that way.

First cab off the rank this week is our “Carols by Candlelight” here in Baker park on Tuesday night. All welcome, lucky dips, music, a family evening, you’re most welcome.

Then “Carols” again in Menindee on Saturday 13^th. Again, all welcome.

Now to Nyngan! There’s the “Performing Arts Concert” at Nyngan on the 4-5^th. (Thurs.-Fri.)

Hermidale Xmas Lighting in the great little village on the 5^th. also. AND, “The Nyngan Garden Club Markets” in the Midstate Shearing Shed on Sat. 6^th. I’m told there’s live entertainment as well. Waiting to hear from Tilpa! Heard on the grapevine, that Ross and Jenny have “Old Buckamby” up and running already, good on you both.

Back down to Ivanhoe, and I’m almost sure Scott Smith and his band of  helpers are aiming for an opening party at the Pub on the 10^th. If I’m wrong I’ll let you know! Speaking of Scott, “Warrawong on the Darling” will be open right through summer this year, how good is that.

Please let me know if any of you are taking a break over January or whatever.

Apologies for any inconvenience with Miss Barrett’s closing last week, We’re Back! And speaking of Wilcannia again! If you are in the area, the Central School Fete is on next Friday, 12 noon to 4 PM. Great things to see, come along and join us.

That just about wraps it up for the week ahead and beyond. You realise of course it’s time to start buying Xmas presents!! Yes I know, what on earth do I buy aunty Ethel !! Thank goodness for “gift vouchers” .
