Broken Hill Art, Ivanhoe Show, White Cliffs Gem Festival, and more

Good morning everyone,

Well a really packed house of activities for the next few weeks.

Let’s start in order of date, we have the Broken Hill Art Gallery opening a new exhibition next Friday and running till the 26th. October with a big Award announced.

Next weekend is crazy, The Ivanhoe Truck, Car and Tractor Show, massive weekend 1st. and 2nd. 2 full days.

Up at Tibooburra, their Rodeo, Gymkhana and Bikehana, same 2 days 1st. and 2nd. and heaps happening.

Again on the 1st. is the Cobar Annual Rodeo, a big event.

Down at Narromine, the Dolly Festival is on next Friday and Saturday, street fun and all.

Then you have the White Cliffs Gem Festival, with heaps happening there on the 7/8/9th.

Move on to the next weekend and the Nyngan Garden Club has their Flower Show on the 15th. October.

The Big Bogan Festival, you guessed it, Nyngan on 22nd. October. All happening

next door at Cobar, the Festival of the Miners Ghost and the Cobar Annual Grey Mardi Gras on 28/30th. With the Dubbo Derby Day in the middle on the 29th.

What a full few weeks! Rain still coming so please, careful on dirt roads, and the Barrier highway is NOT going to be cut at Wilcannia, we have a high river but NOT a flood.

The roads closed are Wilcannia – Tilpa, both  sides of the river, and the Wilcannia – Menindee east side of the river. Check the Central Darling Shire road report for all other roads including the Cobb highway. Please feel free to ring me if I can help.
