More rain, Camping, Fishing and Boat Show .. and more

update:

This is really bad, nothing to do with age!

Will you please spread the word far and wide that a small group of dedicated workers have the “Silver City Show” back up and running.

Yes, the Broken Hill Show is starting Thursday afternoon, bigger and better than ever and running for Friday and Saturday.

Go along and have a look and make their efforts worthwhile.

See you soon,  Bill Elliott.  WCTA.

Good morning all,

Well, what’s another 2 inches of rain! There’s no end to it, bit tricky for the Darling River Run of course, but we’re just going to have to do what they do in America when it rains!

Now a few things happening, today is the last day of the Broken Heel Festival if you want to catch a glimpse. Then there’s the Camping, Fishing and Boat Show on in Dubbo next weekend, few from here going to that. And if you’re a racing fan then the Enngonia Races are also on the 17th.

But you have to be back out here for the Wanaaring Sports Gymkhana and Bikes, that is on the following weekend the 24th.

Following on from that all roads lead to Ivanhoe for their big weekend. Truck, Car and Tractor Show at the oval on the 1st. and 2nd. October.

What a credit it is to these little towns and villages out here, all going out of their way to organise an event. Well done to you all.

Also happening at the end of the month, the Mildura Country Music Festival, it runs from the 23rd. to the 1st. October, why not be there. So, there’s a couple of weeks activities for you, say nothing of the ones I’ve missed!

Weather wise, rain out in our neck of the woods starting Wednesday night and continuing on Thursday, so please check road conditions. The Wilcannia White Cliffs road caused a wee problem but is all OK now, and the Darling river is NOT in flood, and is only effecting the both Wilcannia /Tilpa roads either side of the river.

Better keep in mind school holidays start on Friday the 23rd. and kids go back on Monday the 10th. So more people travelling. And to really make your day, ---Daylight saving starts on the 2nd. October! I’m sorry!!

Give us a hoy if you’re passing through our little town, and whatever you do have fun.

Cheers for now, Bill Elliott.  WCTA.
