Ivanhoe, Wentworth Junction Rally, and more

Good morning everyone,

Back to normal again, or somewhere near it! A wee chance of a few points on Wednesday, but don’t expect to get too wet.

Had a great trip down to Ivanhoe the other day, caught up with old friends, made some new ones. If you can possibly swing past the little town do so. Lots to offer, new couple in the pub, Dave and Michelle, most welcoming like the rest of the town. And the Cobb highway is as good as I’ve seen it in ages.

Now rather scattered this week, we have the Denman Farmers Market on next Saturday. I know that’s a long way down in the “inside country” but really it’s not that far through Dunedoo. And if you get that far then stay for the Xmas in July Markets in Scone, just over the hill, on the 8th. and Muswellbrook Markets just next door on the 9th. Easy to fill in a week down there.

You’ve really got to head back out this way then as the Wentworth Junction Rally (obviously at Wentworth) is going to take up the next weekend, which is the 15/16th. Always a great time to be had there in that town and be sure to call to the Visitors Info. Centre, lovely people and most helpful.

If by chance you stay down the “inside country” then be sure to call at Merriwa for their big Market day on the 15th.

13 June, 2017 - Roads, and other news

Good morning all,

Well distance is still a problem with my limited tech knowledge, and my apologies if I have missed any info you may have sent through.

Driver Reviver was very successful here over the weekend with heaps of travellers dropping in for a chat and a cuppa, from all corners of the country.

The only 2 items of interest I have for you today is the Topar Campdraft coming up next weekend, if you're anywhere in cooee. And great news for anyone travelling through Ivanhoe, Loz's coffee shop has opened up again with all the extras she always had no doubt, so drop in and say hi.

Heard from the travellers today there has been some rain up Louth way so a bit of caution if you're heading up that way on dirt roads. Should imagine it won't take long to dry out.

Festival of the Fleeces, Topar Campdraft, Wilcannia Driver Reviver and more

Good morning all,

A wee bit brief this week, distance communication again. The two big ones that come to mind is the Festival of the Fleeces at Merriwa for the inside country people, that's next weekend.

And the Topar Campdraft for the outback people, which is the following weekend the 17th. And 18th.

Now the other change is, the Wilcannia Driver Reviver will only be operating next Sunday and Monday, not on Saturday. Sorry about that but these things happen.

Otherwise there's still heaps to do and see wherever you may be travelling, and make sure you have a great long weekend.

My apologies if I have left out any events as my folder of information is 1000 k's away!!
