Well the first month of the new year is almost over. I hope everyone is keeping cool and well hydrated in this heatwave. Australia Day certainly was a hot one this year. The thermometer on my back verandah did hit 50 degrees Celsius in the late afternoon.

February has a few events happening but if there are any I have missed, please let me know. And if you know dates of any events happening during 2026, please let me know and I will add them to the calendar.

Nyngan RSL Fishing Club are having their annual carp muster happening on Saturday 21 February with some fantastic prize money and prizes. It is always a great day out and has the benefit of removing the carp from our waterways.
