Australian Inland Botanic Gardens Big Brekkie, ABC Radio,

Hello everybody,

However we know it’s going to be a bugger of a day! Great to be back on deck again, although as you know things are terribly quiet at the moment. In Fact it is definitely not the weather to be travelling unless you have to.

Just had a word with James out there at Silverton holding fort for Peter and Patsy who are having a well earned break. They have some things happening through February and the flyer is attached, so feel free to print it off if you are heading that way.

Down at Wentworth, on the 25th. they have the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens Big Brekkie and Market, and you can have a Barbie and roll a few at the Wentworth Bowling Club on the Sunday evening, make it a weekend at Wentworth.

No matter where you are travelling though you need the expert help and entertainment from our fabulous radio stations out here in this ‘neck of the woods’, they are ABC  Broken Hill  999 and 1584 Wilcannia, ABC Western Plains Dubbo  657, Outback Radio Bourke  585,  River Radio Wilcannia  FM  103.1,  Broken Hill  Dry FM  107.7,  and of course if there’s storms about you need to get road information from our Central Darling Shire on their road report number (08) 80915155. That’s it in a “nutshell”.

Please whistle in any activities you all have coming up so we can all work together and our visitors will see as much as we can cram in for them. And on that subject many thanks to our girls at the Wentworth V.I.C., a full list of happenings for me for most of the year, thanks Kathryn.

I think that covers it for a kick off and we’ll have more next week, if you’re travelling take care and take water!  Cheers Bill Elliott,  Wilcannia Tourism Association.
