Nice weather, Biggest Morning Tea, and more

Good morning all,

More really nice weather, but have the real winter clothes ready from Wednesday on. Zero each morning from then on. (ice on the swag!).

I think we here in Wilcannia are first off this week with our Biggest Morning Tea at the hospital on Wednesday. So, if you’re staying at Warrawong, be sure to pop up to the hospital and help make it a success. You could poke down to Ivanhoe for the same thing, their’s is on next Saturday, try and make one of them.

If you’re into quad bikes, then the training for those is on here in Wilcannia on Wednesday, and repeated for the White Cliffs quad bike people next day Thursday.

If you are down in “the inside country”, Denman have their Markets on next Saturdsay, and then stick around for a fantastic week end at Merriwa where their Festival of the Fleeces is happening on the 9th. 10th. and 11th. Big weekend there. On that same weekend, 10/11/12th. we have the Driver Reviver happening back here at Wilcannia. So if you’re travelling through our little town please stop off and have a break and a yarn.

Moving on as we have to, the Topar Campdraft is set down for the 17th/18th. And of course bush hospitality at it’s best.

Haven’t heard of any goings on up in the “corner country” at the moment. I’m sure someone will let me know when it’s happening. All the usual things are thriving in Broken Hill of course, Tri State Safari Tours are regular, as is the regular tours of Mootwinge Heritage Tours, check out  mutawintjiheritage.wordpress.com  then there’s all the usual great places in “the Hill”, visit the RFDS Base, the Art Galleries, the Famous Silverton Pub, the list is endless.

Enjoy and great week, no rain of any consequence on the horizon, find the winter woollies, and have a relaxing time.  Cheers for now,  Bill Elliott.  WCTA.
