Busy outback, Mildura/Wentworth Music Festival and much more
Good morning everyone,
Well things seem to still be happening throughout our outback country. I have a list here that you can’t jump over, so take your pick and have fun.
Firstly, if you are near Henty, their Field Days start tomorrow, and some fantastic old tractors there I believe.
Duck across to Mildura then and enjoy the Mildura/Wentworth Music Festival from the 22nd. to the 30th., and you’ll be right on the dot for the Wentworth Show on the 26/27th. What a week in 2 great towns.
However if you can’t get down to that neck of the woods, you can enjoy “The Bands from The Bush” at the Cobar Rugby Union Oval on the 23rd., then hang around Cobar for a few days, drop into the Cobar Museum and Sam will give you heaps to see, and enjoy the annual Cobar Rodeo on the 30th.
The Booligal Sheep races are also on the 30th., decisions!! I know the Booligal folk will look after you for sure. Mixed in amongst the above is the Wanaaring Gymkhana and Bikekhana on the 23rd. and they are putting on Dinner and live music for you as well.
Then last but certainly not least is the Carinda “Lets Dance Festival” from the 29th. to the 1st. October. And the Tibooburra Gymkhana and Rodeo in the middle again on the 30th. It will be a big weekend up there in that ‘Corner Country’. there goes another month! No rain within a bulls roar of our outback country so poke along and enjoy yourselves, drop in and say hi, and you’ll learn something every day.
Till we meet again, cheers, Bill Elliott.
