Radio stations, keep checking roads

Good morning once again,

I feel I’m becoming very repetitious and probably very boring. I have rang round many today to find there is virtually nothing going on out here in our wonderful back country, and by all accounts the hot weather is having it’s usual effect. Who wants to be out travelling in the heat.

So I have decided to refrain from my little ‘ditty’ for the time being and resume early in the new year. Hopes are high with everybody that things will get under way early in the new year.

Although there is little or nothing to report, please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have something of interest that our friends would like to hear of.

Likewise, if you require more of our Wilcannia brochures, stubby holders or fridge magnets, give me a hoy.

Perhaps you would like a reminder of our great radio stations whilst you may be travelling through. They are ABC Broken Hill 999. ABC Wilcannia 1584. Wilcannia River Radio FM 103.1

2BH Broken Hill 567. ABC Dubbo 657. ABC Orange 549. And our outstanding Outback Radio Bourke 585.

Of course please check on road conditions at all times. Hopefully our 3 Shire towns, Ivanhoe, Menindee and Wilcannia will have removed our “unwelcoming Signs” before we start off our new year.

We look forward to a great 2021 and it’s been an absolute pleasure being in touch with you all this year. My thanks to all of you who have interacted with me, it’s been great.

Have a great Christmas break and we’ll meet again.  Cheers,  Bill Elliott. Wilcannia Community Tourism Association.

Ad my final ‘gag’ is thanks to W.C. Fields, American Comic.
