All residents and visitors to the Central Darling shire are advised that Level 1 water restrictions have been placed on the townships of Wilcannia, White Cliffs and Ivanhoe.  The Darling River has ceased to flow past the Wilcannia Weir. Council is calling for the community’s cooperation to save water over coming months.

Level 1 Water Restrictions

• Garden Watering with sprinklers restricted to 2 hours per day
• Hand watering may be completed at any time
• Filling of private swimming pools prohibited

Please note that as conditions worsen , water restrictions will be reviewed and expanded if necessary.
