No camping, no sport

Good morning to you all,

I’m really at a loss to know where to start! While it is a very serious situation, I think if we all stick to the laid down rules and have respect for each other, we out here in the far west, and anywhere for that matter, should be quite safe.

I understand one Farm stay had a call from Crown Lands enquiring if they had any campers. The answer was ‘yes a couple on the river camps’. Then order them to go home, was the reply. It would seem no camping anywhere at all.

And definitely no parties till all hours, anywhere.

I can only wish all of you who are running a business, all the very best for the next however long. We don’t know where it will end, but have the advantage that the thousands getting off cruise liners will probably not make it this far out. We have all been through tough times before, and we only have to think of some of those poor people who were completely burnt out only a few months ago, and are still living in a caravan. Spare them a thought.

We even have 3 daughters, breathing a small sigh of relief, “no sport to chase on the weekend”.

Till we meet again, look after yourselves, and keep that distance. You can have a lot of laughs from 1.5 meters!!  Cheers, Bill Elliott. WCTA.
