Cameron Corner Store, Gala Ball in Mildura etc

Hello all,

Where did the morning go?  Where has the month gone?  The only thing still with us is the heat, and it’s going to stick round for a while yet, hotter towards the end of the week.

Gives you plenty of time to plan your trip out to our vast outback. Heaps to see and do. Mark in so you don’t forget the Annual St. Pat’s Races in Broken Hill on the 18th. If you know which way a horse runs then you’ll enjoy the day!

Speaking of planning your winter adventure, it’s almost a necessity to venture up to the ‘top end’ country and have a quiet few days with Fenn and Cheryl at the Cameron Corner Store and surroundings. Grab a few beers and do a “State Crawl”, then back and enjoy their hospitality. Brochure Attached.

There’s a free concert on at the Musician’s Club in ‘the Hill’ too on Tuesday (tomorrow) 1 PM on. The Silverton Collective is still happening from the 5th. to 12th. out at Silverton, and the big International Quilters Day is on as well next Saturday. The best thing to do there is duck into the Broken Hill Visitors Centre and Patrick and staff will point you in the right direction and have a laugh with you .

Meanwhile, the tours are still happening at Tri State Tours there in Argent St. and don’t hesitate to contact Alein for info. On tours out to Moot. He has things up and running there or you can contact Deidre here in Wilcannia to book as well.

There’s a Gala Ball in Mildura with Merv Hughes happening on the 25th. but no news of activity down in “the inside country” as yet.

So, till I find more to pass on, have a great week and we’ll talk again, cheers  Bill Elliott  WCTA.
