A Community Dinner and Fireworks, and more

Good morning all,

Things are very quiet as far as activities go out in our neck of the woods it seems. Hot weather, winds, and a bit of dust thrown in for good measure and where do you go from there?

We do have a couple of items happening here in our little town though.

On the 4th. December, one of our enterprising school teachers, Lily, is launching a “Photo Display” along each side of the old lift span bridge here in Wilcannia. It starts with a BBQ in the evening in front of the bridge, and the display will be up until the 16th.Dec. All photos displayed are the work of the school children, showing off their talents. So if passing do drop by and have a look. Have attached the flyer.

The other big ticket item is on Friday 13th. at Burke Oval, and is an evening show, featuring “A Community Dinner and Fireworks”, all are welcome if again you’re passing through.

Unfortunately I haven’t got my hands on anything else exciting for you all. Must be winding down for Santa coming! Maybe we put out hay for the reindeers this year??

Any way have a good week, don’t forget time is running out to buy that pressie you had in mind.

Take care and I’ll have another woffle on next week.  Cheers Bill Elliott.  WCTA.
