weather, Menindee and Darling River Art Gallery

Just a shame we can’t find out  how everything went over the week end. We DO know it was freeeezing everywhere! I’m sure all was good though, Topar, Menindee, Nyngan and beyond.

Would you believe next week end,  there’s a CWA fundraiser lunch at the White Cliffs Hotel on Saturday 5th. you’ll have a ball up there. Then on Sunday 6th. there’s a Music Festival at the Community hall in Wilcannia.  Maybe something up Bourke/Bre. Way too, let’s know guys.

Then, the next weekend, Tilpa Fishing Comp, 11-12-13th. be there if you can, 3 day event on the Darling. And, if you can’t make that and you are around Walgett, there’s the Walgett Outdoor Markets on the 12th. thanks for that Donna.

Meanwhile, down the winding Darling at Menindee, we have the Community markets on the 27th. to keep in mind. Don’t forget the Darling River Art Gallery is open and will be till, I feel sure, the 21st.

Back here in our little town, Miss Barrett’s Coffee Shop is re-opening this morning (Monday), and we would love to have a chat with old acquaintances and new alike. We are also quite proud to have featured 2 weeks in a row on ABC “Landline”, last week with Rick and Jo Gates, with their goat enterprise, and yesterday with our Historic Cemetery, well done all concerned.

We still can’t find a “skyhook” so please send your brochures around with the great travellers passing through so we can promote you all.

Till next week, keep those fires stoked up and take care won’t you. Cheers Bill Elliott WCTA.
