Marra Sheep, Field and Fun Day

Hello everyone,

A few events starting to flow in now, thanks to those concerned. Michael, my apologies I have had ONE letter wrong in your address since last year!

Now you’ve missed the Menindee Community Markets yesterday but never fear, they are on again on the 27th. if you’re heading that way. Whereas if you are down in the ‘inside’ country the Wellington Fair and Swap Meet is happening next Sunday. Would be worth a look.

Down the southern country, the Wagga Food and Wine Festival, would be a great day out on Saturday 19th. and check Wagga out at the same time.

If you’re down in the river country, then the Wentworth River Cruises are happening every Sunday 12 – 3-30 PM and Wednesday from 6 to 8-30 PM.

Looking ahead we have Laurels Craft Day at Ivanhoe on April 16th. flyer attached. And the Marra Sheep Show (near Nyngan) next Saturday 5th. again flyer attached. And Back to Bourke Re-union over Easter.

Back here at home, we can entertain you with the Opera Night at White Cliffs, (bookings essential). And of course the Wilcannia Field and fun Day Sunday 12th. June (long Weekend). All welcome.

Don’t forget to keep informed whilst in the outback, our radio network is ABC Western Plains 657, ABC Broken Hill 999 and 1584 Wilcannia, Broken Hill 2BH 567, Outback radio 2WEB Bourke 585.And our very own River Radio Wilcannia FM 103.1.

If you’re travelling through, stop in our little towns and say hi, we all welcome you. And well done Peter and Patsy, hope you can get some of that BHP money floating about, you’re doing a great job.

I won’t warn you all about wet roads, we only wish!!

Take care now till next week,   Cheers,  Bill Elliott.  WCTA.

Police officer radios back to his station.

“Hey Searg. We have an interesting case here, housewife has just shot her husband for walking on the floor she had just mopped.”

“Well, have you arrested her?”

“No Serg. The floor is still wet.”
