Modern Living Expo, Kilfera Field Day, Ivanhoe Rodeo

Hello everyone,

Well I hope you tried out those dirt roads last week, ‘cause it’s too late now they are all wet! Some good rain around too I believe. Just what that green shoot needed.

Big event this week is the Modern Living Expo at the Broken Hill Racecourse, next Saturday and Sunday. Complements of Rotary and all local exhibitors as well. You can check out Silverton, The RFDS Base and heaps more while you are about the Silver City.

Then if you happen to be in White Cliffs next Friday, you might as well have a beer or two at the pub and let you wife go up to the Red Earth Cafe and have fun at a craft morning, why not.

After that we have the Festival of a 1000 Stories taking place at Bourke on the 5th. Sept. Check out Andrew and Sarah’s “Poetry on a Plate” while you’re there. Heaps to see and do in Bourke.

Ivanhoe is the centre of attention later in the month. Down there we have the Kilfera Field Day coming up on the 25th. Sept. And the Ivanhoe Rodeo and Gymkhana following straight on, so book in to the Pub, Wendy’s Caravan Park or Barb’s units for the 3 days, 25th. and 26-27th. What a weekend. More details closer to hand. And again at Ivanhoe, the Quilting Ladies have a big Day on Saturday 3rd. Oct. (Long weekend)

I’m sure that will keep you all out of mischief for the week and hopefully give you a bit of guidance. Now don’t forget, don’t venture on a dirt road till you check out the conditions, could be still wet.

Till next week, keep smilin’ and have fun, cheers Bill Elliott   WCTA.
