Big Easter weekend -- Bourke, Nyngan, Hermidale city. Driver Reviver

Hello all,

First time I’ve been a day late, I think? Anyway a great excuse, we’ve been down to Wentworth for a few days and what a fantastic place. Met Cathryn, Donna and Karen, put faces to names, how good was that!

Now big weekends everywhere over Easter, so I’ll just list them, pick out where your fancy takes you and enjoy:

Starting at Bourke. What a weekend! Flyer attached, if you’re within cooee, they will make you welcome.

Nyngan on the Bogan. 10th. Rugby League Challenge at Larkin Oval, if you’re a football fan be there. Plenty of van space.

Hermidale city! The big Gymkhana, with something for everyone. It’s on next Sunday, then relax with the locals at the pub, doesn’t come any better.

No news from Cobar, but I bet it’s good.

Wilcannia Golf Club and Ivanhoe RSL both have monster Easter raffles, so have a middy or two and put your name down, they’ll find you.

Warrawong Caravan Park, 6 more new units!  Even better than the first 6. Ann and John will look after you.

We are operating our Driver Reviver over Easter here at Wilcannia, so break your trip, have a yarn, have an espresso coffee and relax.

Broken Hill has Karaoke at the Palace Hotel on Wednesday if you fancy yourself as a “crooner”. And there’s the Picnic Train at Penrose Park on Sunday.

Passing Menindee? Call at their community Markets over the weekend.

Down to Coombah, and Karen is closed on Good Friday, but welcomes you all other days.

Wentworth! One whopping big Garage Sale on Easter Sunday, all over town it is. Check with the VIC. And while you’re there, there’s heaps of knitting wool at the shop for all you knitters. They tell me it’s a scarce commodity these days.

Have a great Easter, stop in every town, have a yarn to the locals. You’ll never stop learning. We mob out here love to make you feel welcome.

Listen to our radio stations, drive safely, and enjoy. Cheers   Bill Elliott.  WCTA.
