Julie Finlayson Art Exhibition + Anzac Day

The rain is slowly filling in with another chance next Thursday. We have more and more people moving around which is great, so please welcome them and pass on our activities to them.

One that crept up on me, is the “Barwonnie Ag. Expo.” At the Mossgiel Hall on Wednesday, yes day after tomorrow! 10 AM till 3 PM, anyone heading down that way let them know. There’s  also the Ivanhoe Camp Draft coming up, more on that later.

Attaching a poster for Julie Finlayson here in town, it’s an art exhibition over a few weeks and worth a look. We also had our postponed “Clean up Aust.Day” yesterday, you wouldn’t know the old Rodeo stock yards at the oval now.

Another little feature I’ve neglected to tell you all is our Coach and Horses” (Wilga) campground on Paroo Darling Nat. Park, 40 odd Kms. up the river on the eastern side from Wilcannia. Camp sites right on the river, good clean toilets, running water, and free gas BBQ’s. Great little site for relaxation.

Anzac Day coming up soon, if you are having something special let’s know. We have our old Wilcannia lad, Ian Knox (Knox and Downs) Ian retired as Vice Admiral, Royal Aust. Navy and is our Guest speaker.

I am trying to get this little email out to “The Travellers” as well as you good people. Face Book has been suggested so have got Fiona on to that and our Tourism Web site. We’ll see how we go.

Haven’t heard from Bourke, Cobar, Menindee, Nyngan, B Hill, if you have something on we can “send ‘em on” to you.

Thanks for your feedback, and till next week, take care cheers Bill Elliott WCTA.
