Now, the Inland Tourism Awards are now open, and are being held in Broken Hill for the first tim...e. So if you’d like to know more, or nominate someone, the shot would be to contact Mick and Jo at Tri State Safaris, they have everything at their fingertips. The multitude of Easter activities are as follows, in no particular order:

Big “Back to Bourke Reunion”, obviously at Bourke, and if you even passed through the town 40 years ago, you are still most welcome, if you’ve never bin there, why not go?

Big “Rugby League Challenge” at Nyngan, on the 4th. and 5th. April. Heaps of people in town, heaps of fun.

Monster Menindee “Community Markets is also on the 5th. April, why not stop by.

Down to Griffith, “Pioneer Park Action Day” on the 3rd. If you are heading that way.

Stop in at Hay, “Shear Outback Festival of the Blades” 4th. April. They will welcome you there, great little town, .

After all that Easter activity, if you need sustenance then stop by the Nyngan RSL Club, on Sunday the 12th. where “Can Assist” is putting on a monster breakfast especially for travellers, how about that.

Moving on, the “Blue Heeler Film Festival” is in full swing in the Hunter Valley, (Denman- Muswellbrook area) on the 12th. to 15th. Drop into a winery at the same time, why not? And as always, never feel alone. You have 549 ABC Orange, 657 ABC Western Plains, 585 2WEB Outback radio Bourke, 1584 ABC in Wilcannia, 999 ABC Broken Hill and 567 2 BH Broken Hill, what a choice!

No need to worry about wet roads this week, however, if you are in the White Cliffs area, then the Peery Lake road will be out of action from the 23rd. March. Till further notice. Will keep you posted. Petrol prices are all over the place like a dog’s breakfast at the moment, so ask a friend!
