Week off, Gem Festival, etc

Hi everyone!!

No, I didn’t go on holidays. I was simply ‘technologically Challenged’, in a really big way! Now I know there is “cut and paste”!!

I actually had last weeks ready to send, but there’s no use telling you what happened Saturday and yesterday now is there.

Lets move on and my apologies for the “week off”. I’m sure the Gem Fest and Car Boot sale at White Cliffs would have been a great success as well as all the happenings over the long weekend, and there were quite a few.

Looking through my notes there is a distinct lack of happenings in the near future. If, by any chance you are heading down Muswellbrook way, then they have a “Afternoon of Fine Music” next Sunday afternoon. There you go, Macca in the morning and Muswellbrook in the arvo.

If you are racing minded, the Nanua Picnic Races and Gymkhana is on next weekend as well. Certainly won’t interfere with Muswellbrook! So if you’re down that way?? Then you could move up to the Hill for the “Outback Challenge” (cross country  4x4 event) happening 17th. to 24th. Then to finish the week off, get your ‘good gear’ out for the “Silver City” Races happening the next day (25th.) in the big city,

Unfortunately, I have to report that our Victory Caravan Park has been closed down. Only temporally we hope, as both Victory and Warrawong have been getting big numbers through. Suggestions for it’s future have been put up and no doubt something will eventuate.

With all the children back at school, (thank god I hear you say), the National Parks Tag along tours also come to a close. That doesn’t mean you can’t go and have a look round yourself of course.

Appealing once again to your generous nature, please let’s know if ‘The cow calves or breaks it’s leg” out your way won’t you.

Really do hope the ‘carrier pigeon’ works this time, Really, really cool on Tuesday, does that help?

Cheers Bill Elliott  WCTA.
