Red Earth Cafe Re-opening, Menindee Golf, Topar Camp Draft

Bin wondering how the big weekend went at Ivanhoe and I’m sure it was a roaring success as usual. Any highlights and I’ll let you know, (thanks Longie!)

Not a lot happening this week, we have the Balranald ICPA having “The Hatfield Happening” at the Hatfield Hall next Thursday. I’m sure they would welcome any travellers going that way. And on that very same day, the Red Earth Cafe in White Cliffs is re-opening for business. And, by the way! White Cliffs and Wilcannia both had very successful “Biggest Morning Tea” last week, well done girls.

Then the next weekend (Long weekend 7-9th.) we have the Golf weekend at Menindee for all those golf enthusiasts both local and travellers. And our own Wilcannia Field and Fun Day. This has grown from our  3 Trade stands last year, to 2 sheep studs, 1 Santa Stud, and at least 10 trade stands including a Highway Patrol car, (for inspection only!!) as well as Pip Hudson with his sheep dogs, Mog Davies with her horses, and of course the Wilcannia Gift.

Nyngan Market Day, Ivanhoe Annual Camp Draft, Muswellbrook Race Meeting

Back home again and trying to catch up. You may remember 2 weeks ago, a charity concert in Nyngan to get a little boy to America for heart surgery. Well the concert was a great success and helped towards the $200,000- raised, the operation was last Friday and all went well. They hope to have him home soon and no doubt a relief to all including Frank and Lyn.

Music Festival, Tourism Meeting + Wilcannia Field Day

Do hope all you mothers across our wide land had a fantastic day yesterday. We started in a playground on Lake Macquarie and ended in a double garage at the family home! Jolly old rain!!

I think the next item on the agenda is the Music Festival in White Cliffs this week. I can guarantee you can send travellers up up that way and they will be looked after, a great few days.

Then of course we have the Ivanhoe Camp Draft coming up as well, that is on the 24-25th.and always a howling success

Agfair, White Cliffs Music Festival + Tibooburra's "Postie Bike Rally"

Good afternoon everyone,

Sorry I'm late, technology is way beyond me! Thanks to our great secretary, Fiona, back in Wilcannia this may work!!

What a weekend, Wet all day Friday at Agfair, wet for the Rodeo Friday night, cold as charity I would say at Agfair Saturday, etc. etc. Agfair was great though, mainly for catching up really.

Alison, thanks so much for your kind words to Chris and I, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience though, and Kevin Humphries knows first hand what a "wet Cobb Highway" means!

Now, I believe the charity concert in Nyngan Saturday night was a great success and a lot of money raised, good stuff.
